คอร์ดออน คือเราเล่นคอร์ดปกติ แต่เ่ล่นเบสที่แตกต่างจากคอร์ดปกติครับ เช่น
D/F# (ดีออนเอฟชาร์พ) คือเล่นคอร์ด D แต่เอานิ้วโป้งมาจับที่ F#
เราจะเล่นคอร์ดออนเมื่อเราเล่นแบบเน้นเสียงเบสด้วย เพราะโน๊ตที่เราออน มันคือทางเดินเบส
เช่น เราจะเล่นชุดคอร์ด G D Em D C แต่ทางเดินเบสจะเป็น G F# E D C (ไล่ลง)
มันก็จะรวมได้เป็น G D/F# Em D C
หรือจะเล่น A A D Dm แต่ทางเดินเบสเป็น A G F# F
เราก็จะเล่นคอร์ดออนเป็น A A/G D/F# Dm/F เป็นต้น
สรุป การเล่นคอร์ดออน คือการเล่นกีต้าร์และเล่นเบส (ที่เป็นจริงเป็นจัง) ไปพร้อมๆกันครับ

คอร์ดออนจะเป็นการ พลิกกลับ ของ note ในคอร์ดเท่านั้นครับ เช่น
คอร์ด D มีโน๊ต D F# A
ก็จะมี D/F# D/A
แต่ถ้าเป็น โน๊ตนอกคอร์ด จะเรียกว่า Slash Chord แต่ต้องวิเคราะห์ดูอีกทีครับ เช่น
D/C อันนี้เราสามารถมองเป็นคอร์ด D7 ก็ได้ แต่ถ้าให้มันสมเหตุสมผล ต้องเขียนแบบนี้มากกว่า D7/C
เพราะฉนั้นเราควรมองว่ามันเป็น Slash Chord มากกว่า
เราจะได้คอร์ด C 69 (#11)
ปล. เพลงไทยส่วนใหญ่มีแต่คอร์ด on เพื่อ Bass Line ที่สวยงาม เพราะฉนั้น ไม่ต้องคิดมากว่าจะเจอ Slash Chord ครับ
